We are located at the west end of Ware High Street, less than 5 minutes from the A10, and 15 minutes from both the M11 and M25. Ware Station is a 10 minute walk away.
Yes we can cater for ceremonies from 5 guests to 220 guests.
Yes, unfortunately we cannot do this for you. The Licensed Registrars for Ware Priory can be found at The Hertford Registry Office on telephone 0300 123 4045 or by email at registrars.admin@hertfordshire.gov.uk
You will find the maximum capacities for each for room under Venues & Rooms but as a guide the maximum seated capacity for the Priory Hall is about 100, the Conservatory 100 and for Fletcher’s Lea 160. For evening receptions, numbers can increase to 100, 140 and 220 respectively although there will be a limited number of tables.
Ware Priory can offer a wide variety of cuisines from the excellent caterers within our Catering Partnership. If you do wish to hire Ware Priory on a dry hire basis, you are able to do so in Fletcher’s Lea ONLY. There is a supplementary charge of £5 per person for food and £500 for drinks
Ware Priory cannot guarantee there will be only one wedding on our Estate on your wedding day, however we allocate a minimum two-hour gap between ceremonies/sittings to ensure that there is no cross-over of wedding parties. Each wedding party will have a dedicated function manager who will look after you from start to finish, your own private bar area and restrooms along with allocated areas of the grounds for drinks reception and group photos. If you want to have Ware Priory Estate exclusively for your wedding then additional charges will be incurred.
We no longer allow chocolate fountains but we suggest you consider a Sweet Cart as a great alternative. We can either provide that service for you, put you in touch with an outside supplier or you can create one of your own.
Yes, although if you would like to have this unique aspect on your wedding day you will need to arrange for them yourself.
We have space for 55 vehicles for Ware Priory users, some of which are allocated to tenants and staff. The remainder are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and availability will depend upon events taking place onsite. Alternatively, there is a pay & display car park adjacent to Ware Priory in Burgage Lane. This is chargeable between the hours of 07.30 and 20.00 Mon – Sat and costs £3.90 for 5 hours. Sundays and Bank Holidays are chargeable at a £1.50 flat fee.
Yes, confetti throwing is permitted although we do not allow confetti bombs.
Only large candles are permitted and only then with the express permission of Ware Priory. We do not permit the use of small candles, t-lights or other naked flames to be used.
Yes, this can be arranged either through one of our catering partners or by yourselves.
Are there separate rooms provided for the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception?
Ware Priory can offer separate rooms or you can have the same room for two or three elements depending on your requirements. If you are to use one room for two or more parts of your day then we will need to allow for changeover. This is best discussed with our events team who will help you through the planning if you opt for this.
Yes, we will be able to make one of the conference rooms available.
This is largely dependent on other events that may be taking place prior to yours. Our team prefer to start laying up 48 hours before where possible. You can arrange to leave your decorations with our Events Team if you need to.
No, we would expect there to be sufficient time between events to allow them to set up nearer to time.
Yes, you can have a conference room to use as a crèche, although a charge may apply.

If you are looking for information on our two venues or the rooms contained therein, then you will find these on the Venues & Rooms tab on the top of every page. By clicking on the designated tab, you will see the rooms available within each venue.
There is also a 360 degree ‘virtual tour’ available which allows you to view all the rooms either by clicking the menu or by following the arrows positioned on the screen.
If you are interested in having your wedding ceremony, wedding reception, ceremony and wedding breakfast, evening reception or all of these elements at Ware Priory, then you can finds all the relevant information you require by selecting weddings in the drop down box.
If you are looking for to host a Party, a Christening or Naming Ceremony or are looking to hold a Celebration of Life event then click the Functions tab. Select the function from the list on the menu to the left of the screen.
Ware Priory offers a series of conference packages that can be held in the historic Ware Priory, or our contemporary building Fletcher’s Lea. Both venues have complimentary Wi-Fi available to guests and a comprehensive list of items can be found under each heading. Menus for conferencing packages can be found in the Catering section of this site.

No, Ware Priory is not a hotel. However we do have preferential rates with local hotels and these can be supplied upon request. We can also supply you with a list of firms to organise your travel arrangements.
